These are specifically made for the UE5 Mannequins and need to be applied manually in the character controller Blueprint your using that has the Mannequins in it.

What the zip file includes:

  1. Wolf Ear & Cat Ear Meshes
  2.  The Textures

They share textures so don't worry too much about there only being one texture set.

When you Import the Meshes they'll be rotated 90 degrees on the Y axis, this is because the head bone on the new Mannequins is rotated 90 degrees the other way so I rotated them so they could have a 0 transform when set to be children of the head bone on the mannequins.

FYI the Cat Ears are made for Quinn and the Wolf Ears are made for Manny, if there's enough interest I'll update these files with versions of the Cat Ears for Manny and Wolf Ears for Quinn. They can kinda be used on either character as they are but they have differently shaped heads so they don't fit properly, you can see it especially when you put the Wolf Ears on Quinn. You can move them a little to try get them to fit better though if you want.

Adding the meshes -

  1. The ears are separate static meshes and can be set as children to the head bone on the Quinn or Manny Skeletal Mesh in your Character Controller Blueprint.

Adding the Textures -

  1. For the textures you'll need to add a material instance of the MI_Quinn_01 or MI_Manny_01 in Content > Characters > Mannequins > Materials.
  2. In this Material Instance you need to click the check mark on each of the texture parameters to enable you to edit them.
  3. Now you can just drag and drop the textures from the Content Browser into the corresponding texture parameter in the Material Instance, the textures are named after the texture parameters they should be added to in order to make the process easier.
  4. I recommend you to make this Material Instance the default material on both of the ears as both ears have been made to use the same textures.

These assets are just for use early in development to spice up the look of the mannequins or help test a simple character controller where you can switch hat or something that uses the mannequins. They are not meant to be used in a final released game or animation.
